Brown & Brown is seeking a Finance Associate to join our growing team in Greensboro, NC!

As a Finance Associate, you will analyze financial statements and build Excel-based models to assess performance, support forecasting, and drive strategic planning. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy, evaluate insurance metrics, and deliver actionable insights through reports and presentations for leadership.

How You Will Contribute:

• Analyze financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, to assess financial performance and identify trends.

• Utilize Excel to build financial models, perform variance analysis, and create reports.

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.

• Assist in evaluating insurance operations metrics and their financial impact.

• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and improve financial reporting.

• Identify opportunities to optimize financial processes and support decision-making.

• Prepare presentations and reports for leadership.

Skills & Experience to Be Successful:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. (preferred)

• Internship or academic experience in finance, accounting, or insurance. (preferred)

• Knowledge of financial systems and reporting tools is a plus. (preferred)

• Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups and financial modeling.

• Basic understanding of insurance operations and key industry concepts.

• Ability to interpret balance sheets and income statements and explain financial trends.

• Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

• Self-starter with a results-driven approach and a commitment to a meritocratic workplace.
